Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to discuss a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is presently halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first important honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
